Real Madrid extended the contract of Eder Militao – Agreement with the Brazilian defender until 2028

The deal has been in place for some time as part of Real Madrid’s strategy to secure the contracts of key players, Marca writes.

Militao is currently recovering from a serious knee injury he suffered in the first leg of LaLiga in August.

The Brazilian defender has already won eight trophies with Madrid: the Champions League, two titles, the Club World Cup, the European Super Cup, the Spanish Cup and two Super Cups.

A €50m transfer from Porto in 2019, Militao has had a rocky start but has become one of the best centre-backs out there.

In announcing the extension, Real Madrid ended up protecting the future of a new generation of stars, a strategy imposed by coach Carlo Ancelotti.

In just a few weeks, the club has secured the long-term services of Vinicius (2027), Rodrigo (2028), Camavinga (2029), Valverde (2029) and now Militao (2028).

In addition to them, Chuameni (2028) and Bellingham (2029) also have long-term commitments.
