
​Coco Gauff made it to the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2024, the athlete from the USA played a difficult match (three hours and seven minutes) with Marta Kostiuk, taking the 37th place in the world.

Reigning US Open champion Gauff won in three sets 7-6(6), (3)6-7, 6-2.
In the first leg, Coco came back from 5-1 down to save two set points (one at 5-2 and one at 6-5 in the tiebreak). The American was incredibly persistent at a very important moment and won three points in a row.
In the second set, the situation was similar, but it was Marta who came back from a 3-5 deficit and won the tie-break with a score of 7-3.
Gauff (4 WTA) raced to a 5-0 lead in the deciding set, held serve once but was unstoppable and qualified for the semi-finals in Melbourne.
Both players had big problems on serve, and there were a total of 17 double faults (8 Kostiuk, 9 Gauff). Marta was the more attacking player and hit 39 game-winning shots (only 17 for Koko).
