
​Mihaela Alexia Anton on Monday won a bronze medal in the women’s monobob, the first for the Romanian delegation at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon (South Korea).

Anton showed a time of 1 min 54 s 34/100, he was overtaken by Dane Maia Voigt (1:53.31) and Thai Agnese Campeol (1:54.17).
Another Romanian at the competition, Georgiana Olaru, took sixth place (1:55.20).

The Romanian Olympic team for JOT 2024 consists of 33 athletes, 16 women and 17 men. They compete in 9 sports from the program of the IV Youth Olympic Games in winter sports (January 19 – February 1): biathlon, bobsleigh, ice skating, luge, ski jumping, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, skeleton and snowboarding, writes Agerpres.
