Defending champions Sweden got off to the right start at the European Men’s Handball Championship with a 29-20 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sweden, easy win with Bosnia and Herzegovina

Sweden got off to a good start at the final tournament in Germany and won their first Group E match without emotion.

The 2022 winner controlled the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina and finished with a 9-goal lead.

In the first EC match, Romania faces Austria

Romania is also participating in the European Championship, drawn in Group B, which also includes Spain and Croatia.

The debut of the tricolor will take place on January 12 against Austria from 19:00.

The CE2024 final tournament will take place from January 10 to 28 in six German cities.

The Romanian national team last participated in the final tournament of the European Championship in 1996, when it took 9th place out of 12 participating teams.

The title of European champion in 2022 was won by Sweden.
