“The club is looking for players to play in the third division of Saudi Arabia. Salary: $3,000 (€2,730) to $4,000 (€3,650) per month plus house.”

Such announcements are increasingly appearing on social networks and on the FutbolJobs platform, which specializes in job offers in the world of football.

“We could count thousands of interactions every day via email, social media and WhatsApp asking for information about this special offer,” News.ro reported.

We realized that this market is already a reality, and the football world sees that the demand is not only for big stars,” Valentin Botella Nicolas, CEO of FutbolJobs, explains to Marca.

The market has even opened up for women’s football.

“We are looking for players for women’s teams in the first and second divisions of Saudi Arabia. The player must have been called up by his country for the last Women’s World Cup,” reads the offer, which does not specify any position.

“The salary in the first division was about $5,000, and the main requirement was participation in the last World Cup. The response was also unexpected: 935 female candidates responded to the offer,” the general manager of FutbolJobs told Marca.
