A multiple Grand Slam doubles champion, Siniakova has never climbed higher than No. 31 in the WTA singles rankings, but she quickly overtook Pliskova (the former world number one in July 2017).
Kateryna (49 WTA) needed an hour and 11 minutes to defeat Karolina 6-2, 6-1.
