​FCSB paid €70,000 to terminate Damian Djokovic’s contract and now Rapid have announced that the Croatian international will play for the Giulesti side.

At the age of 33, Djokovic became the fourth player to sign with Rapid this winter. The Croat’s contract is for one and a half years.

“Damyan trained among juniors in Holland, in Den Haag, Excelsior and Sparta Rotterdam. In his senior career, the Croatian played for numerous teams: Spartak Trnava, Monza, Cesena, Bologna, CFR Cluj, Livorno, GFK Ajaccio, Greuther Furth, Lazio, Rijeka, Rizespor, Demirspor and Al-Raed.

In the current season, Djokovic played in 23 matches, scoring 4 goals. Two goals were scored in the UEFA Conference League, both against CSKA Sofia 1948.

The new player of “Rapid” won the Romanian champion’s trophy four times, with CFR Cluj (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021), and the Romanian Super Cup, also with Transylvania (2019). Shvydka announced.
