American rapper Snoop Dogg has announced that he has joined the team of commentators and consultants for NBC, the American broadcaster of the Olympic Games in Paris this summer.
“I grew up watching the Olympics and I’m really excited about the prospect of watching all these incredible athletes in Paris,” he said.
“The competition will be extraordinary, and of course I will bring the Snoop brand to all of this. It will be an epic Olympic Games,” he added.
Snoop Dogg starred in an Olympic ad alongside several American athletes to celebrate the Green Bay Packers’ 33-10 NFL victory over the Minnesota Vikings, News.ro reports.
In 2021, the rapper was already invited to Tokyo, where he commented on the event, especially in the company of actor and comedian Kevin Hart.
The comments, especially during horse riding competitions, have garnered millions of views.
“It will explore the city’s iconic sites, attend events and competitions, and visit with the athletes and their friends and families,” explained NBC in a press release, adding that they will use the content to create a daily “Olympic Primetime Show.” .
