Petra Kvitova (2011 and 2014 Wimbledon champion) surprised her fans on the first day of 2024 by announcing her pregnancy on Instagram.

Petra Kvitova announced that she will become a mother

In the Instagram post, Kvitova appears with her husband Jiri Vanek (who is also her coach). The two are holding a children’s bodysuit with the inscription “Courage, Belief, Pojd” (the slogan of the Czech athlete).

“On the first day of 2024, I wanted to congratulate you on the new year and share the wonderful news that Jiri and I are expecting a child in our family this summer!” – Petra Kvitova.

Petra was congratulated by several players (current and former) who became mothers in recent years: Ashley Barty, Angelique Kerber, Barbora Strykova, Kiki Bertens and Lucy Safarova.

During her time, Kvitova won 31 tournaments, two of which were Grand Slam tournaments (Wimbledon 2011, 2014). His highest finish was at No. 2 (Oct. 31, 2011), and he has collected $37,252,032 in tennis prize money to date.

Former tennis player Jiri Vanek was born on April 24, 1978 and collected $1,600,539 in prize money during his career.
