Karim Benzema nicknamed “the son of defeat” – the Frenchman closed his Instagram account

The former Real Madrid player signed a contract with Al Ittihad in the summer for a salary of 100 million euros per season, becoming a star of the Saudi professional league along with Cristiano Ronaldo, writes Mundo Deportivo.

However, the Frenchman does not live up to expectations and after the defeat against Al-Nasr, his team is 22 points behind the leader Al-Hilal after 18 matches.

Benzema fell out with former coach Nuno Espiritu Santo, a conflict that led to his dismissal, but the situation did not take a positive outcome.

Although he scored 9 goals and provided 5 assists in 15 games, Al Ittihad fans nicknamed him “Ben Hazim”, which translates as “son of restraint”.

If last season the team lost only four games, this year the number of failures has already reached six, and in the last game Benzema was heavily booed.

This is also the reason why the Frenchman decided to close his Instagram account after the defeat against Cristiano Ronaldo’s team.
