Radu Dragushyn will sign a new contract with Genoa

After a one-year loan spell at Juventus, the Romanian defender was finally bought by Genoa in the summer for €5.5m following a move to Serie A.

Right-back Dragushyn has produced excellent results and the club offered him a new contract a month ago, doubling his current salary of €600,000 per season.

Meanwhile, important formations such as Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona were interested in his transfer, but the Romanian player decided to extend his contract with Genoa.

“Radu Dragushyn is the next player to sign a new contract until June 2028,” announced the club’s sporting director Maro Ottolini.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that despite the fact that it was a clause on the termination of the contract worth 30 million euros, the new obligation will not contain such a condition.
