The president of Istanbulspor removed the team from the field in the match against Trabzonspor

A week ago, the Turkish championship was suspended due to scenes of violence in the Ankaragücü – Rizespor match.

At the end of that game, Ankaragücü head coach Faruk Koca punched referee Halil Umut Meler.

Matches resumed on Tuesday

and stage #17 brought a new scandal.

The president of Istanbulspor took the team off the field 15 minutes before the end of the match with Trabzonspor, dissatisfied with the referee’s decisions.

Ekmel Faik Sarialioglu entered the field and called the players to the sidelines after a missed penalty for his team. In the next stage, “Trabzonspor” managed to score.

The match was stopped in the 79th minute with the score 2:1 in favor of Trabzonspor due to the fact that the home team’s players refused to return to the field.
