Novak Djokovic is too strong psychologically for the younger generation in tennis, Mykola Davydenko believes

The Russian knows Nole quite well: he shared the ATP circuit courts with the Serb for many years, they met in eight rounds: Joker leads with a score of 6-2.

“This person is unique to me,” Davydenko begins his speech when it comes to Djokovic.

Djokovic is so strong because he manages, like no one else, to use all the skills acquired throughout his career throughout the match. He feels and knows when and how to change tactics and surprise the opponent.

Mykola admires the special way in which Djokovic was able to improve his physical and especially mental strength.

Davydenko, who was previously ranked No. 3 in the ATP rankings, says Nole can beat his younger opponents even if he returns to competition after a few weeks off.

The difference is primarily on the mental level, Davydenko believes.

“Even without playing several tournaments, without getting injured, he is physically prepared. In addition, his concentration surpasses any opponent.

That’s why they fear him (and not the young players) and are mostly defeated before they even get on the field. Djokovic dominates and defeats young people psychologically, what he does is unique,” concludes Mykola Davydenko.

Who is Mykola Davydenko?
