
Serbian Hamad Medjedovic (World No. 110) won the ATP Next Gen Finals, the $2 million tournament for the best young professional players, on Saturday.

In the final held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Medvedovic defeated Frenchman Arthur Fils (36 ATP) 3(6)-4, 4-1, 4-2, 3(9)-4, 4-1.
The 21-year-old from Serbia took advantage of a rejection from Switzerland’s Dominique Stricker in the semi-finals.
Medzedovic joined the list of impressive names who conquered ATP Next Gen, such as Stefanos Tsitsipas, Yannick Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz.
The youngster has a special relationship with world number one Novak Djokovic, who has helped him rise both financially and through the opportunity to train at his training centre.
