Mark Selby (four-time world champion) exited the British Snooker Championship in the quarter-finals, the Englishman was defeated 6-3 by compatriot Judd Trump, the second in the world ranking.

Judd was the more inspired and accurate player early in the match, and it was fully reflected on the scoreboard, with Trump winning the first four frames and victory already beginning to take shape.

In the second half of the match, Selby made a proud comeback and managed to “pull up” the score to 3-5. However, Judd closed out the game and the 6-3 victory was beyond doubt.
