Yannick Sinner’s win sends Novak Djokovic into 2023 Champions Tour semi-finals

Hubert Gurkach, present at the only match in Turin instead of the injured Stefanos Tsitsipas, caused serious problems for the world leader.

After two hours and six minutes of play, Novak Djokovic won in three sets 7-6(1), 4-6, 6-1, but the result does not guarantee his qualification.

Nole won the first game with Holger Roon, but a setback followed with group leader Yannick Sinner.

The Italian and Dane meet tonight in their final group match and for Djokovic to progress, Sinner must beat Rooney.
