Ahead of the match against FCSB, the Mititelu club released an edited picture showing Ilie Balachi and Aurelian Kitsu on one side and Daniel Prodan and Florinel Coman on the other.

Placing the four in the courtroom, the group assumed that it was actually a game of Craiova University vs. Steaua Bucharest, not U Craiova 1948 vs. FCSB.

Mihai Rotaru and Lorena Balaci (daughter of the legendary footballer) said they were very concerned about the collage made by the Mititelu club.

The owner of CS Universitatea Craiova claims that Mititelu’s group used the image of Ilie Balachi, even though he always stood by his club.

He traveled with the University of Craiova. When another team was formed, he was not present at its matches. They took advantage of our silence. When the split happened, Balaci said that the public would decide which Craiova university. He said he doesn’t talk.

Since the former company went bankrupt, there was only one team for Balacha. He was not at one of our matches, against Oblemenko. He also traveled.

Ilye Balachi took his grandson and brought him to the university. We didn’t talk until now, but now we do. It is a lie that Ilie Balachi was with another team. The former team went bankrupt and was closed, and since then Ilje Balaci has only been working at the University of Craiova. We considered it immoral to brand ourselves with the death of Balachi, but today we are no longer silent.
