After two wins in a row, the team coached by Mircea Rednik scored a decisive victory with a score of 2-4 against Ocellul Galats in the last game of the 16th stage of the Super League.

UTA and Ocellul Galats showed a spectacular game that started with two goals in the first five minutes.

In the third minute, Yuri Cisotti opened the scoring, and two minutes later, Alexandru Pop doubled the guests’ lead.

UTA did not recover and Pop scored a brace in the 34th minute to tie the game at halftime.

Despite the half-time substitutions made by Mircea Rednić, Ocellul were also the more dangerous early in the second half and Portuguese Teles made it 4-0 in the 54th minute.

Aredeni only woke up at the end, and Tiberiu Kapusa’s 86th-minute superb strike and Rares Pop’s last-minute penalty reduced the big difference recorded on the scoreboard, but the scoreline did not reflect the reality on the pitch.

The result moves Dorinel Muntiana’s side to eighth place with 20 points, just two play-offs away. UTA, on the other hand, remains in 12th place with 18 points.
