
​Davyd Popovichi completed the first distance of 100 m freestyle at the National Swimming Championship in Otopeni (short pool, 25 meters).
The 19-year-old champion added a new gold medal to his track record.
According to AS.ro, Popovici finished with a time of 46.76 seconds, ahead of Patrick Sebastian Dina, who finished the race with a time of 47.22 seconds.

- David (coach Adrian Redulescu) will participate in one test each day: 100m freestyle (Thursday), 200m freestyle (Friday), 100m freestyle (Saturday) and 50m freestyle (Sunday).
At the previous European Championships in the 25-meter pool (Kazan – 2021), David Popovichi won the gold medal in the 200-meter freestyle.
The country’s swimming championships in Otopeni are a test competition for the European 25-meter pool championships, which will take place next month (December 5-10) in Otopeni, reports CS Dinamo.
