According to the club from Giulesti, the messages from the rival fans were not only racist, but also incited hatred and violence.
Rapid’s statement after the derby with FCSB
“Our club noted with concern the display during the game on Sunday night of racist messages with direct reference to violence.
Without questioning the activity of disciplinary bodies on the ground, the Rapid Club today also filed a criminal case for committing public acts and inciting enmity.
This action is a safety net extended by the club to hold those responsible for these actions INDIVIDUALLY accountable.”
On Monday, the gendarmerie announced that several fines had been imposed and some fans had been banned from stadiums for periods ranging from six months to a year.
