CFR Cluj lost the chance to finish the regular season in first place. Andrea Mandorlini’s team lost 1-0 away to Hermannstadt in the last match of the 15th stage of the Romanian Super League.

Hermannstadt defeated ChFR Cluj

CFR Cluj did not take advantage of FCSB’s setback with Rapid (2-1) and lost on Monday evening away to Hermannstadt.

The team coached by Andrea Mandorlini could have quickly opened the scoring through Otele, but Kebuz stepped in to make the save.

Jipa equalized the situation with excellent scoring opportunities and set up Sava, who deflected his corner from the edge of the penalty area.

In the second half, the team trained by Marius Melderashanu struck and scored – 1:0. Neguts picked up the ball on the edge of the penalty area and beat Sava with a shot on the crossbar (min. 62).

After 4 minutes, Neguts scored again, but his success was nullified.

Thanks to this victory, “Hermannstadt” rose to 4th place and 6 points closer to the podium. On the other hand, CFR Cluj remains in second place, one point behind FCSB.
