Rassie Erasmus, the new coach of the South African national team

Erasmus previously served as Springboks coach from August 2018 until the 2019 World Cup triumph, when he made way for his deputy.

At the age of 51, Erasmus has set his sights on winning the 2027 World Cup.

Erasmus is celebrated in South Africa for his innovative coaching style, tactical expertise and ability to maximize the potential of his players. He attracted attention with his social media posts criticizing his opponents.

South Africa won their fourth ever World Cup after defeating New Zealand 12-11 in the final at the Stade de France.
