Although coach Liviu Ciobotariu chose not to rest too many players in the starting line-up, Sepsi was dominated by Corvinul, who could have won by a bigger margin.
After Jakob missed the first chance, the Hunedorens opened the scoring in the 58th minute thanks to Manolache’s header from a corner.
Sepsi was able to equalize with Aganovic’s free-kick in the 70th minute, and in added time Nitsuli made a great play against Gergelegiu, who could have doubled the lead.
Corvinul leads Group A after two matches, and a win for Petrol at Chindia would mean the elimination of the Romanian Cup holders.
