Alex de Minaur secured his place in the second round of the Paris Masters.
The player, who is ranked 13th in the ATP hierarchy, was ahead of Andy Murray (40 ATP) in three sets after a match that lasted just over three hours.
The first set was a tight one, with the Australian winning the tie-break, and in the second act Murray stormed back into the match to win 6-4.
A deciding set followed and Murray quickly went 5-2 up, but the Briton was surprised by an extraordinary comeback from the 13th seed who won 5 games in a row.

In the second round, De Minaur will meet the winner of the duel between Dusan Lajovic (48 ATP) and Benjamin Bonci (77 ATP).
The Rolex Paris Masters tournament will be held from October 30 to November 5 on an indoor hard court. It has a total prize pool of €5,779,335 and the championship title is Holger Rune (2022). The competition at the Accor Arena in Bersa is part of the ATP Masters 1000 category.
