Numerous celebrities attended the grand opening of the Casadonna restaurant in Miami, and Serena Williams shook the web with an interesting gesture: the former tennis great cut Aryna Sabalenka (WTA #1) from an Instagram post.

Caroline Wozniacki and David Grutman (the owner of the restaurant) also appeared in the picture published by Serena. The American noted both of them, but netizens are wondering why Arina Sabalenko was left out (the WTA leader published the whole photo).

In another photo posted by Wozniacki, Sabalenka and Reilly Opelka appear, but in Serena’s profile the situation changes: they disappear, and the multiple Grand Slam winner gives way to Alexis Ohanian (her husband).

Netizens searched for possible reasons for Serena’s unexpected decision:

• “I think it’s because she makes Serena Williams look so low when they’re around. It makes Serena a lot less scary.”

• “…because she’s jealous and angry?”

• “Since Aryna is much more beautiful than her, envy is a very bad feeling”

• “Maybe she’s showing her support to all her Ukrainian fans, as well as her Ukrainian friends on the track, like Elina Svitolina. Whatever her reasons are, I don’t agree with them.”
