The Government of Romania allocates 25 million lei to Romania for hosting Euro 2026

The government supports the organization of the European Handball Championship – EURO 2026 – Women’s Handball and is considering the possibility of providing financial support of up to 25 million lei to ensure the necessary conditions for the organization of this sporting event according to international standards.

The organization of this large-scale competition, in which 23 countries will participate, contributes to the popularization of the sport and the results achieved by Romania among countries developed in terms of handball, and is a confirmation of the organizational capacity of the National Sport.
