Miriam Bulgaru, who is ranked 208 in the WTA ranking, could not overcome eighth place at the Transylvania Open.

The Romanian was defeated in three sets by Rebecca Masarova (67 WTA), the tournament’s fourth seed, at the end of the match, which lasted two hours and 38 minutes.

She managed to win the first set with a score of 6-3, but in the second act she was defeated in a tie-break.

In the third set, she inexplicably fell and lost the decider without the right to appeal, 6-0.

Rebeka Masarova will face the winner of the match between Ana Bohdan (73 WTA) and Nikola Bartunkova (289 WTA) in the quarters.
