Quantum Nutrition denies doping links to Simona Halep: “She needs someone to blame”
John Koveos, owner of Quantum Nutrition, says he has “100% trust” in the company that makes his supplements.
Without naming names, he says other athletes have also used collagen, which Halep blames for the positive test, but the Romanian is the only one who has run into problems.
“They need someone to blame. They want the company to be the scapegoat […]. Quantum Nutrition manufactures nutritional supplements for hundreds of athletes, including Olympians and hockey players.
None of the athletes had any problems, they regularly underwent examinations. And Halep wasn’t the only athlete to use this product that day at the US Open” – John Coveosowner of Quantum Nutrition, for The Globe and Mail (one of Canada’s most important newspapers).
A collagen supplement (Keto MCT) was recommended by Simona Halep Candace Goyer from Muratoglu Academy. This is the first foreign physiotherapist in the career of the ex-WTA leader. Goyer took Theo Serchel’s place in Simona’s team.
