Novak Djokovic, the answer to Rafael Nadal: “I respect him, but I do not agree with him”

Nadal stated that it would be for Djokovic It’s much more disappointing not to be the player with the most Grand Slamsfrom history, and the Serb reduced himself to saying that he did not agree with the opinion of his Iberian rival.

“I saw that his statement went viral, a lot of people were talking about it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, how you interpret someone else in a certain context. That’s all I can say. Rafa is a great champion and I have a lot of respect and admiration for him.

I respect him because he is my biggest rival and because he is a player who has contributed a lot to my game and the results I have achieved.

I have no intention of speaking negatively about him or Roger Federer. My respect goes beyond any negative opinion I may have.

Again, this is Rafa’s opinion, and I certainly don’t agree. I have my own opinion, but I don’t want to develop it. There is no need for this” – Novak Djokovicquoted by Tennis Majors.

Novak Djokovic contradicts Patrik Muratoglu: “The Olympic Games mean a lot to me”

In a video posted on his Instagram account, Muratoglu said that for most tennis players“The Grand Slam is 100 times more important than the Olympics.”

Djokovic disagrees with the French coach and says he will try for gold at the 2024 Olympics, the only title missing from the Serb’s impressive record (he won a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics).

“I saw his words and I absolutely do not agree with him. The Olympic Games are the oldest sporting event in existence. Any Olympic sport puts the Games, at least in my opinion, as one of the highest priorities.

This is one of the highest honors an athlete can receive while representing their country at the Olympic Games.

It is played once every four years, so it is not a priority for many players. I agree with Patrick on this: the attitude of many players at the Olympics, especially the lower ranked ones, is not the same as at a Grand Slam.

I agree, that’s true, but I personally disagree because the Games mean so much to me. I hope I can bring another medal to Serbia” – Novak Djokovicreports Punto de Break.

Hierarchy of Grand Slam titles:

1. Novak Djokovic 24

2. Rafael Nadal 22

3. Roger Federer 20 (retired from tennis).
