
Israel declared a state of war after the Hamas organization fired thousands of rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory.
Those from Hamas infiltrated Israel where they caused several casualties. The latest information presented by the media in Israel indicates at least 600 dead and more than 2,000 wounded.
Among the dead was 43-year-old Lior Asulin, a former Hapoel Tel Aviv striker who was killed after Hamas terrorists opened fire on those attending a party near the border.
