Judd Trump (No. 5) will meet Zhang Anda (No. 57) in the final of the English Open Snooker Championship, with the surprise Chinese player producing a career-best performance in Brentwood.

At the age of 31, Anda defeated Liu Hongyu (ranked 89) 6-2 in the semifinals. Zhang also dismissed Anthony McGill (19), Elliott Slessor (58), Ronnie O’Sullivan (1) and Yuelong Zhou (28).
For the big prize (80,000 pounds and the Steve Davis trophy) Zhang Anda will fight with Judd Trump, after the Englishman won the deciding frame of the Scotsman John Higgins with a score of 6-5.
The Grand Final will start on Sunday at 15:00 and the winner will be determined by the “best of 17 frames” system.
