Nadia Comaneci has joined the Romanian women’s gymnastics team at the World Championships in Antwerp. The tricolors are in fifth place in the interim standings, and qualification will end on Monday evening.

Romania’s women’s gymnastics team is close to qualifying for the 2024 Olympics in Paris

“After the competition, in which the pressure left an imprint on the development of events, Ana Maria Berbosu, Sabrina Maneka Voinya, Lilia Kosman, Amalia Gigoartze and Andrea Preda are very close to realizing their dream: selection with a team for the Olympic Games in Paris.

Together with coaches Camelia Voinea, Corina Morošan, Patrick Keens, Damon Jones and Florin Cotucciu, the girls are waiting for the completion of the next 6 units to confirm the results,” FR Gimnastică reports, according to News.ro.

The Tricolor finished Monday’s qualifying competition with a total of 157.795 points (40.099 on vault, 39.132 on bars, 38.965 on bars and 39.599 on floor).

Ana Maria Berbosu is 11th in the intermediate individual standings with 52,932 points, while Sabrina Maneka Vojnia is 5th on floor and 6th on bars after 4 divisions with 13,666.
