Mark Selby (ranked fifth in the world) and Mark Williams (10) will meet in the finals of the British Open snooker.

In the first semi-final, Mark Williams (ranked 10th in the world) defeated Iran’s Hossein Vafai (ranked 17th in the world) 6-3. The Welshman was 2-0 up, followed by 4-2 and 5-3 before closing out the game 6-3. The victory was clear.

The second semi-final brought a real solo concert by Selby. Ranked 5th in the world, Mark did not spare China’s Guodong Xiao (37th in the world), whom he beat with a score of 6-0.

The Grand Final will take place on Sunday from 15:00 and can be watched live on Eurosport channels. It will be played according to the best of 19 frames system.

The winner will go home with a check for £100,000, while the loser will receive £45,000.
