The last match of the first group stage of the Romanian Cup brought “Rapid” a victory on the field of the bottom of the Super League “Botosani” with a score of 3:1.

FC Botoshai – Rapid 1-3, in the groups of the Romanian Cup

After making seven line-up changes from Monday’s game against CFR Cluj, Rapid won by the same scoreline as in the other games of the day.

The team coached by Cristiano Bergodi opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Iulian Cristea recovered the ball and headed it into the far corner from Kiryan’s corner.

Just four minutes later, Paul Jakob doubled the lead by making a perfect save from a free kick.

“Botosani” equalized the result of the half and missed several opportunities, and also hit the crossbar of Dragia’s goal.

In the 53rd minute, the people of Giulio increased the difference thanks to Stefan Panoiu, who shot a short corner in the penalty area.

The final score in the 81st minute was established by the former player of “Faro” Carlo Kasap with a free kick directly into the penalty area.
