The match against the Hellenes will take place on the road, on February 2-3 or 3-4, 2024.

Last weekend, Romania were defeated by Taiwan 3-1 in Mamaia, while Greece lost 3-1 to Slovakia in Athens.

The tricolors are ranked 30th in the Davis Cup ranking (down three positions), and Greece is 44th (down two positions from the previous ranking).

Romania and Greece met twice in the Davis Cup with a score of 1:1.

In 1933, Greece won 4-1 in Athens in the second round of the European zone.

Romania triumphed in 1970 with a score of 5-0 in Bucharest, in the quarters of the European zone, the victories were scored by Ilie Nestase, Ion Ciriac, Viorel Marku, Sever Muresan and the pair of Ilie Nestase/Ion Ciriac.
