Turkey has reshuffled the coaching staff of the national team and appointed Italian Vicenzo Montella, who previously coached Fiorentina and Milan, as coach.

Vicenzo Montella became the new coach of the Turkish national team

49-year-old Italian coach Vicenzo Montella will become the new coach of the Turkish national team.

This was reported by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who announced that he would sign a three-year contract.

Montella began his coaching career with Roma under-15s and previously coached Catania, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, AC Milan, Sevilla and most recently Adana Demirspor.

He also played football as a striker and played 20 matches for the Italian national team. Montella scored 3 goals for Italy.

In the 2000/01 season, he won the Serie A title with Roma, which also featured Gabriel Batistuta and Francesco Totti.
