Ocellul Galats got their 8th draw in the Romanian Super League. The side coached by Dorinel Munteanu were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Rapid Bucharest, leaving Galatasaray without a win this season.

Dorinel Munteanu without success after returning to the Romanian Super League

After three consecutive successes in Galatasaray, Rapidul made a wrong move against Ocelu.

The team coached by Cristiano Bergodi picked up just one point in their trip to Galatza after a match in which Giulesti’s side did not concede a goal.

In the first minutes, the home team had a double chance to open the scoring, but Horaciu Moldovan interfered with the shots of Matziel and Zhelev.

In the 34th minute, Giulesti also had a great opportunity to score, but Funcho hit the crossbar. Claudio Petrila also came close to scoring late in the first half, but the Galatasaray goalkeeper made a superb save.

In the second half, the game was much more closed, and the visitors were also denied a goal due to offside.

With this draw, Rapid retain 4th place at the end of this stage and accumulate 15 points.

On the other hand, Galatasaray rose to 12th place and reached 8th place in the Romanian Super League.
