Mara and Anastasia (seeded 8) defeated Japan’s Sara Saito and Nanaka Sato in the final action at Flushing Meadows 1-6, 7-5, 10-8.
The game lasted one hour and 18 minutes.
In singles, Mara Gae was defeated in the first round by Czech Alena Kovackova (13th seed) with a score of 7-5, 6-2.
Mara Gae, registered in Dynamo, was born on September 14, 2005.
