After a very stormy summer in the transfer market, the Premier League has started extremely interestingly, and after four stages of the new season, we can already talk about the fight for the title.

So, after the first four rounds, we have Manchester City in first place, by the way, the title champion. The townspeople have scored maximum points with four wins from four matches and an 11-2 goal difference, the best so far in the league.

Tottenham are in second place with ten points, with the Londoners having made an excellent start to the season despite losing top scorer and captain Harry Kane.

The podium is closed by Liverpool, also with ten points, the same as Spurs, but with a slightly weaker goal difference. In the first four stages, “Cormorants” won a draw and three successes, two of which were won by numerical advantage.

Next in the rating are “West Ham” and “Arsenal”, also with ten points, the difference in goal difference.

Practically, these five teams, to which you can add Brighton, were the strongest at the start of the season, but certainly not all of them will fight for the title.

Other teams in contention for the title, both through name and investment over the past year, are Manchester United and Chelsea. However, after four rounds, both teams occupy the second half of the standings, neither of them even managing to have a positive goal difference.

Of course, Newcastle, last season’s openers, will be in contention for at least fourth place, but it’s hard to believe that St. James Park will fight for the title.

What do the betting odds say?

If we look at the betting odds for the future English champions, it looks like a very one-sided contest. Manchester City are clear favorites at odds of 1.35, followed by Arsenal (odds of 8.00) and Liverpool (odds of 10.00).

Other favorites that we can’t even say exist considering that Tottenham Hotspur (odds 25.00), Manchester United (odds 35.00), Chelsea (odds 50.00) or Newcastle (odds 60.00) are considered extremely unlikely to win the trophy.
