Marko Dugandzic has impressed during his time at Rapida Bucharest and the Croatian striker will be on the move from Julesti to Al Tay, a side from the Saudi Arabian Championship.
Marko Dugandzic, transfer to Al-Tay – Rapid receives two million euros
The Saudi club will pay Rapid two million euros, and Dugandzic will sign a contract for two seasons and have an annual salary of about one million euros.
Dugandzic (29 years old) will be a colleague at Al Tai with Andrii Cordea, a footballer transferred this summer from FCSB.
The Croatian forward scored 28 goals and provided three decisive assists in 48 matches played in the Rapida shirt.
Albio Rrahmani (he scored four goals in the first two matches) remains in Rapid’s attack, and Dan Shuku is confident that Alexandru Stan (17 years old) will also establish himself in the first team.
“We decided to keep him two weeks ago, he had a very good offer from the Turkish first league, but then we didn’t follow through. Now Duga has a chance, a colossal chance. He is almost 30 years old. This is the hit of his life and we couldn’t spoil it.
This is our philosophy! And when Mutu came with a good offer from somewhere, even if we were sorry to end the cooperation, we were not inflexible and did not stand in the way of the professional implementation of those we work with. But we always found a solution.
We have Rahmani, a thoroughbred goalscorer. Remember another name, (Alexandru) Stan, who is the starter of the youth attack. A promising player, you will hear a lot of good things about him. He is already training with the first team and Mr. Bergodi will give him a chance.
This Stan will be a very pleasant surprise. This is very valuable. So we are doing well with the strikers and if needed we will bring in more players as we have shown this summer. A hot summer with successful transfers, for which my colleagues Daniel Niculae and Victor Angelescu really deserve congratulations” – Dan Sukuquoted by Fanatik.
During his career, Marko Dugandžić also played for NK Osijek, FC Matera, Ternana, FC Sochi, FC Botoşani and CFR Cluj.
