Alexandru Tsimpanu does not understand the reason why Laurentiu Regekampf removed him from the team

Ioan Ovidiu Sabau returned to the bench of the University of Cluj and asked for new players after the defeat against Polytechnic of Iași (2-0).

The management acted quickly and on Sunday they transferred Andrij Petelau from CFR Cluj and Aleksandra Tsimpana from the University of Craiova.

The 22-year-old, signed from Bani, said he was excited about the fact that he would be playing for another team with the opportunity to log more minutes, but he said he was baffled by how things went as he was not informed until the moment registration of the move with this transfer.

“I think it’s been planned for a while, but I found out about it last night, I had no idea at all that not being accepted had anything to do with this loan.

Yes, I still wanted to go play, especially in “U Cluj”, it is also a traditional club, and I have many old colleagues there.

No explanation was given to me, even to this moment I do not know why I was not in the party, I have no idea.

As for preparation… almost everyone who knows me and who knows what I’m like knows that I’m a professional player and when I’m training or in an official match, I give it my all.

This can only be an excuse. Okay, no one stood out against Farul, but from my point of view and from what a lot of people saw off the pitch, I’m really not bad.” – said the player, valued at 800,000 euros, Digi Sport reports.

Lucas Masoero also moved to Cluj

The University of Cluj continued their acquisition campaign and officially unveiled Argentine defender Lucas Masoero on Monday.

At the age of 28, the player signed a two-season contract with “Cluj” and played for the last time in the T-shirt of “Pari” Nizhny Novgorod.

“FC Cluj University has agreed with the Argentine central defender Lucas Masoero.

The 28-year-old South American defender has signed a two-year contract and arrives at the U’s after being a regular in the first eleven of FC Pari Nizhny Novgorod for the last two seasons, for whom he made 58 appearances.

Our new centre-back has currently played for Independiente Rivadavia and Maipa in his home country, Lokomotiv Plovdiv (Bulgaria) and FC Pari Nizhny Novgorod (Russia). He has 48 matches in the first league of Bulgaria and 51 in the first echelon of Russia.

In the 2019/2020 season, he won the Bulgarian Cup, and in the 2020/2021 season, he won the Bulgarian Super Cup.

We say to our new central defender: “Welcome to Cluj!” and we wish him all the best in black and white!” – says the club’s official press release.
