
Andrea Mitu (ranked 450th in the world) won the ITF tennis tournament in Prague on Sunday.
Our athlete overcame Sarah Beilek (213 WTA rating) in three sets with a score of 7-6(1), 2-6, 6-3. The match was intense, played for two hours and 23 minutes.
Representing the home team, Sara was seeded fourth at the clay court in Prague.
Also in the main draw of Romania were the following players: Arina Gabriela Vasilescu (out of qualification), Iryna Bara (5th seed), Oana Gavril, Andrea Prisakariu (15th seed) and Anka Alexia Todoni.
The tournament was held from August 28 to September 3 on the ground in the TK Spoje complex, the total amount of prize money was 60,000 dollars.
