Carlo Mujar, a double in the dispute with Voluntari

CFR Cluj moved up to the top of the Romanian Super League following their success away to FC Voluntari on Saturday night.

Andrea Mandorlini’s team controlled the tussle with Ilfoven and thoroughly deserved the victory despite the lead.

In the 27th minute, ex-FCSB player Andriy Dumiter opened the scoring for the home team, but before the break, the Transylvanians reversed the result.

Philip Otele restored the tie (min. 42) from a pass by Muhar, and the same Muhar scored against the visitors in the first minute of overtime.

In the second half, Carlo Muhar again became decisive for the Mandorlini team and scored a double in the 58th minute.

Ilfoven tried to get back into the match, but goalkeeper Sava intervened very successfully.

Juricic closed the scoring in the second minute of added time after heading in a cross from Jefta.

The final score is 4-1, and Voluntariul remains in 6th place with 10 points. CFR is in the lead, at least until the end of the game between FCSB and Craiova University.
