Mircha Rednik was discharged: “People came and asked if I was okay”

On Friday, UTA announced that Rednik had been discharged from the district hospital in Arad, and a technician described when he first became ill and how he was operated on.

“Right after our first goal (against FCSB) I felt something. The pressure, the weight, I don’t know how to explain it more clearly. Then the rest of the staff, the players, said: “Aoleu, mister, maybe we jumped on you and crushed you!”.

I myself felt something, drank a pill from our doctor and recovered. In the second half I was more excited, like there was something else, but after that I recovered. Even after the end of the match with FCSB, I did not have any embarrassment, moreover, we talked, discussed with the players, with the staff, and drank beer. The next day at training, I felt the pressure again.

I told our “daughter” (not the doctor) on the team: “I want to check myself, keep calm!”. I went to the hospital to have an EKG. When she saw the result, the doctor there rolled his eyes. I think I won’t easily forget what big eyes he made. “How did you drive here?”, he asked me all kinds of questions.

They took me straight to the surgery, they said there was no point in wasting time. Restrictions were introduced at the hospital because people came and were interested in my fate. Another one came one by one, put his head in: “Are you okay, madam?”, people left. If I were a little late, I think I wouldn’t have had time to thank anyone” – Mircha Rednik for GSP.

On Monday, UTA Arad defeated FCSB with a score of 2:1 in the seventh stage of the Super League. The team coached by Mircea Rednik is in 12th place in the standings with 7 points and a goal difference of 6-10.
