The final matches of the second round of the 2023 US Open took place on Thursday, and several big names left the competition at Flushing Meadows.

Monfils, Murray, Berrettini, Pliskova and Kenin are out of the US Open

In the men’s tournament, Hubert Gurkac (17) and Thomas Martin Etcheverry (30) were the only seeds, but they also lost players such as Andy Murray, Gael Monfils, Matteo Berrettini (withdrawal) or John Isner.

They are followed by Carlos Alcaraz (1), Daniil Medvedev (3), Yannick Sinner (6), Andriy Rublev, Oleksandr Zverev (12), Grigor Dimitrov (19) and Stan Wawrinka.

Among the women, the most famous players to have been defeated are Karolina Pliskova (former world number one) and Sofia Kenin (2020 Australian Open winner).
