Rapid secured their second consecutive Super League win with a 5-3 away win at Craiova 1948 after an impressive performance against a team they haven’t beaten in their last 11 games since their return.

“Krajova” 1948 – “Rapid” 3-5, in the seventh stage of the Super League – a double in the debut of the Kosovar Rrahmani

The game in Bana started with a quick opening of the score, in the 4th minute, when a loose ball by Borza reached Aurelian Kitsu, who scored his fifth goal of the season.

Cristiano Bergodi’s men responded well to press and Brown was awarded a VAR penalty after Henriques brought him down in the box.

Scorer Marko Dugandzic accurately scored a shot from 11 meters in the 21st minute.

After two big misses by Emmers and Funcho, Rapid were awarded another penalty after a handball by Radu Negro. This time, Dugandzic did not hit the goal.

Giulesti took the lead in the booths after Cristian Sapunaru’s header in the 45th minute from a corner well taken by Petrila.

The second half started just as tense. In the 48th minute, Leo Lacroix restored the tie with a header from Mascareñas’ free-kick.

The tie lasted just eight minutes, with Claudio Petrila once again leading Rapidul from Borja Valle’s pass after another mistake by Enriquez.

Making his Rapid debut, Kosovo striker Albion Rahmani also added his name to the scorers’ tally in the 65th minute off a pass from Funcho.

The show continued, and in the 78th minute, Aurelian Kitsu scored a double, after denying Horatio Moldovan.

In the first minute of overtime, Rahmani scored a double with a header after Papo’s corner.

After this result, “Rapid” gains 11 points and climbs to the third step of the rating, while “Krayova 1948” remains in 13th place with only six points.
