Sergio Perez will play for RedBull again in 2024
Separate leader in both classifications (drivers and constructors), RedBull announced the names of the drivers for the 2024 season in the voice of Horner.
In addition to Max Verstappen (two-time world champion and a third title as promised), the Austrian team will also rely on Sergio Perez next season.
The 33-year-old Mexican is not going through the best moments from a sporting point of view, but still enjoys the trust of RedBull officials.
“We have a contract, we are happy with Cheko and he will be our pilot next year as well,” Christian Horner was quoted as saying by express.co.uk.
Having played 12 Grands Prix in the 2023 Formula 1 season, RedBull has already scored 503 points, being the unequivocal leader in the hierarchy of manufacturers.
RedBull also dominates the drivers’ standings, with Max Verstappen (25) in first place with 314 points and Sergio Perez second with 189 points. Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) closes the podium with 149 points.
The next Grand Prix of the season will be held in the Netherlands, at the Zandvoort stadium, on August 27.
