The Romanian national volleyball team reached the round of 16 of the CEV EuroVolley 2023 Women’s European Volleyball Championship on Monday, defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-2 (12-25, 26-24, 25-21, 21-25, 15- 11).

Romania, dramatic victory over Bosnia at CEV EuroVolley 2023

The national team, coached by the Spaniard Guillermo Naranjo Hernandez, achieved great success at the European Volleyball Championship.

The tricolors defeated the Bosnia team with a score of 3-2 (12-25, 26-24, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11).

The best player of the Romanian national team was Adelina Budei-Ungurianu with 23 points.

It was Romania’s second win at CEV EuroVolley 2023.

CEV EuroVolley 2023 will be held from August 15 to September 3 in four countries: Belgium, Italy, Estonia and Germany.

Romania’s best result at the European Women’s Championship was recorded in 1963, when the tricolors won bronze on home soil.
