Barbora Krejcikova was eliminated by Victoria Azarenka from Cincinnati

Barbora Krejcikova, the 11th seed in Cincinnati, was eliminated in the opening round.

The champion of Roland Garros-2021 could not overcome Victoria Azarenka (18 WTA) and was defeated in two sets at the end of the match, which lasted one hour and 50 minutes.

The former world leader is followed by a match against the winner Jennifer Brady (432 WTA) and Donna Vekic (22 WTA).

The Western & Southern Open (Cincinnati) is a WTA 1000 event. The tournament is played on hard from August 14 to 20, 2023, has a total prize pool of $2,788,468, and has a starting main draw of 64 players. Titled champion – Caroline Garcia.
