Doping-suspended Simona Halep is still awaiting a verdict from the Sport Resolutions tribunal, with the former world number one losing almost all of her points in the WTA rankings and falling 520 places in one week.

Simona lost 900 points earned last year in Toronto (she beat Beatrice Haddad Maia in the final) and has only 70 points in the world ranking (60 from Cincinnati and 10 from the US Open).

Romania has three athletes in the WTA top 100: Sorana Kirstya (31), Iryna Bega (38) and Ana Bohdan (59).
